What Happens After I Receive My Report?

Delivery is the middle of the process, not the end. Knowing what comes next avoids surprises at inspection.

At plan check

Include the compliance documentation in your permit submittal. If the plan checker returns a comment on the energy documentation, send us the correction letter — responding is covered by your included revisions.

During construction

Two further documents are generated by other parties: the CF2R Certificate of Installation, completed by the contractor who installs the equipment, and the CF3R Certificate of Verification, completed by a HERS rater after field verification or diagnostic testing.

If the design changes

Tell us. A report describing a building you did not build is worse than no report, because it will be caught at verification. Two revisions are included.

Keep the documents

Registered documentation stays on record with the registry, but keeping your own copies makes the final inspection easier.
