What Plans Are Needed for an ADU Title 24 Report?
A floor plan, elevations and a window and door schedule are enough to start. If the heating, cooling and water-heating equipment has already been chosen, send that too — it removes the largest assumption in the model.

The minimum that works
An ADU report is built from the geometry and the envelope, so the drawings have to show both. A dimensioned floor plan establishes the conditioned floor area and the room layout. Elevations establish wall heights and the roof form. A window and door schedule establishes how much glazing there is and where it faces. With those three, a report can be produced.
What makes it faster and more accurate
Orientation matters more than people expect, because glazing performance is assessed by the direction it faces. A site plan with a north arrow removes the guesswork. If the drawings name wall, roof and floor assemblies — stud depth, insulation, whether the floor is a slab or raised — those go straight into the model instead of being assumed.
Equipment is the other one. A specified heat pump, furnace, mini-split or heat-pump water heater lets the report be written around what will actually be installed. Where equipment is still undecided, the report has to assume something, and if the installed unit differs later the paperwork stops matching the building.
Format
PDFs are what we work from — drawing sets exported from CAD, or clear scans of a hand set. Both work. Photographs of drawings pinned to a wall are usually legible enough to quote from but not to model from.
What is not needed is a finished permit set. An ADU report is normally prepared at design stage, before the drawings are complete, precisely because its results feed back into the design — a glazing area or an equipment choice may need to change to comply.
