Can You Get a Title 24 Report in 24 Hours? What a Rush Covers and What It Cannot Speed Up

Yes. On an ADU, residential or multi-family order, a $95 rush returns the report within 24 hours instead of two to three business days, and the clock starts when your plan set is complete. The rush covers preparing the report. Signatures, registration, a rater visit and the department's plan check keep their own time.

What the 24 hours buys

One thing: a finished calculation and certificate prepared from a complete plan set. The compliance manual says the inputs must correspond to the final approved plan set, so a rush cannot make an unfinished design comply, and a window schedule that still has gaps waits for answers before anything is built.

A visit before the report

When a house is judged with an addition and existing conditions are to be verified, the manual says the ECC-Rater's inspection must be completed before construction begins and before registration can be completed (Example 9-52). That visit is booked on the rater's calendar, not ours, so the report clock does not include it.

After delivery, three clocks that are not ours

  • Signatures. The certificate needs the documentation author and the person responsible for the design, and electronic signatures where registered (Section 10-103(a)1A). The responsible person, usually the designer or owner, signs the other line.
  • Registration. For compliance that needs field verification, the CF1R submitted to the department must be a registered copy from an ECC-Provider registry.
  • Plan check. The examiner compares the CF1R with the plans, looking first at fire, life and safety, then at energy, and may return comments.

When a rush is wasted

For an HVAC change-out the compliance manual says Section 10-103 allows the registered CF1R-ALT-02 to go to the department at final inspection instead of before the permit, where plans are not required. If the drawings are still changing, a rush also only buys a report to redo. Ask the counter first; the HVAC replacement page covers the paperwork.

Ordering so the clock holds

Send scaled plans, the window and door schedule, equipment and the full address, using the Title 24 checklist. The general turnaround page and the revision timing page cover the rest. Rush is offered on ADU, residential and multi-family reports; for anything faster than 24 hours, contact us before ordering.
