Title 24 Reports in Yuba County
Yuba County contains climate zones 11 and 16, but zone 11 does nearly all the work — ten of its twelve ZIP codes, from the river towns well up into the foothills.

River towns and the foothills above them
Marysville stands where the Feather and Yuba rivers meet, about 60 feet above sea level on USGS elevation data. Linda, Olivehurst and Plumas Lake spread south of it along the Feather, with Wheatland to the south-east. All of that is zone 11. Marysville and Wheatland are the county's two incorporated cities on the California Department of Finance's 2026 estimates; the communities around them are unincorporated, so a project there is a county permit.
Zone 11 carries on into the hills. Loma Rica and Dobbins, climbing to the north-east, are zone 11; so is most of Challenge-Brownsville. Only in the far north-east, around Camptonville at about 2,800 feet, does the county reach zone 16, and with it a heating-first calculation.
Just enough to qualify
Yuba's zone 16 rests on two ZIP codes, 95922 and 95925: the minimum our two-ZIP test allows, with Sierra County holding about 18 per cent of Camptonville's 95922. It is still a real assignment, and a project in either ZIP is assessed as zone 16, but it covers two of twelve ZIPs.
Challenge-Brownsville spans the line
The Census treats Challenge-Brownsville as one community, yet 77 per cent of its land lies in 95919, which is zone 11, and 22 per cent in 95925, which is zone 16. Here more than anywhere in the county the place name is not enough; the address's ZIP code is.

- Climate zone 11 — 95692 (Wheatland); 95901 (Marysville, Loma Rica, Linda); 95903; 95918; 95919; 95935 (Dobbins); 95961 (Plumas Lake, Olivehurst); 95962; 95972; also 95977, split with a neighbouring county (below)
- Climate zone 16 — 95925; also 95922, split with a neighbouring county (below)
ZIP codes that cross the county line
- 95977 (Smartsville) — about 61% within Yuba County, the remainder in Nevada 39%
- 95922 (Camptonville) — about 82% within Yuba County, the remainder in Sierra 18%
Smartsville's ZIP code reaches into Nevada County and Camptonville's into Sierra County. Neither split moves a zone: 95977 is zone 11 and 95922 zone 16 throughout, so only the permitting county differs.
Finding the zone for your own project
The zone is set by the project's location and confirmed from the ZIP code against the Energy Commission's published table — not from the county name and not from the nearest large town. Because Yuba County contains more than one zone, that check decides which set of numbers a report is written against.
Give us the project address and we determine the zone as part of preparing the report. It is the first thing established, because every insulation, glazing and equipment figure downstream depends on it.

Yuba County contains California climate zones 11 and 16. The zone drives the insulation, glazing and equipment performance a report has to demonstrate, and it is confirmed from the project ZIP code against the Energy Commission's published table.
