The CF1R Project Name or Address Does Not Match the Permit: What to Do
Fix the identifiers before anything is registered if you can. Part 1 requires the project name and location on the CF1R to be consistent with the plans submitted for the permit. After registration the fix is a revision: the registration signer signs again, the revision number rises and only the current revision is valid.

What the code compares
Section 10-103(a)1A.ii names two items: the project name and the location. Further matching, such as owner name or parcel number, belongs to the department's own checklist. The permit number comes later: the CF2R and CF3R must state the building permit number under which the work was done, and the CF3R carries the address too.
Fix it before registration
If the CF1R is still a draft, correct the title block and rerun it. The manual advises that the project title in the compliance software describe the building clearly, because title names should assist compliance and enforcement. Check the name and street address against the permit application and the plan sheet title block, and keep them identical.
After registration: a revision
- The documentation author and responsible person correct the data and sign again, producing a new registered revision.
- The registry raises the revision digit. Earlier revisions become obsolete and cannot be submitted to demonstrate compliance.
- Any CF2R or CF3R already registered under the old CF1R loses its status until its signer signs again.
- A copy of the new revision goes to the department.
Why installers and raters care
The registry's project status report is organised around the project name and location, so a variant spelling makes the file harder to match to the permit. Tell the installer and ECC-Rater which revision is current before they register anything. For value mismatches see the mismatch page; for the broader list see why plan check is rejected, what registration required means and the status report. Our residential reports are built from your plans.

Frequently Asked Questions
If the CF1R is registered, any change to it is registered as a new revision, and the registry treats only the current revision as valid.
